Kayaking with sharks and exploring the coast of Man by kayak are the themes presented through stunning photography and video footage at St James schoolrooms on Friday March 1st.
Craig Whalley has had some exciting experiences as he’s paddled around the Island with his camera: witnessing a landslide at the Chasms, getting more than he expected whilst shark fishing, exploring mines that are only accessible by sea and kayaking though the Sound makes for interesting watching!
Starting at 7.30pm, the evening at £10 includes a shepherds pie supper, coffee and cake; please do bring your own wine or beer. To book ring Gilly on 844031, stating if you need a veggie option. The selected charities this year for St James are The Friends of Robert Owen House, providing overnight accommodation solely to relatives and carers of patients who find themselves in the Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, and the Manx Overseas charity Malawi Mission Projects, supplying boreholes and building community centres in rural areas in one of the poorest countries in the world, as well of course the ongoing work and restoration at St James!
Future Diary date: The World Bonnag Competition at St James is set for Friday 22nd of March
