The Children’s Centre is celebrating Valentine’s Day by organising a ‘Chocolate for Charity’ event in partnership with award winning confectionery makers Davison’s. Individuals, businesses, and other organisations can buy personalised chocolate hearts for Valentine’s Day with the proceeds going to help charitable projects run by The Children’s Centre. Orders for the hearts are being taken now so that they can be made and gift wrapped ready for Valentine’s Day. Staff from Pokerstars and Royal Skandia have got the initiative off to a flying start by ordering a total of 550 hearts, and now Chocolate For Charity organisers are hoping other companies will follow suit. Susie Cox, Community Fundraiser at The Children’s Centre, said:
“For businesses or other organisations to take part in Chocolate For Charity all you have to do is book our clever team to come in and help staff members decorate a chocolate heart handmade by Davison’s. We have slots on Wednesday February 12 or Thursday February 13 for our staff to visit. We’re selling chocolate hearts for £5 each to be given as gifts to loved ones, work colleagues, business clients, or business partners. We’re extremely grateful to the support we have received from Davison’s, Pokerstars, and Royal Skandia – and we would love to hear from anyone else who wants to join in the fun. All of the hearts will be beautifully wrapped with ribbons and come with a gift tag. We can also decorate the hearts with a message or a company logo and deliver them on Valentine’s Day if required. If anyone wants to decorate their own hearts we can provide icing pens, ribbons, wrapping, and tags.”
Proceeds from the event will go towards The Children’s Centre’s charitable projects which help families and children across the Island. To place an order for chocolate hearts, and for further information, email Susie Cox at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 676076. Orders must be made by February 5 in order to guarantee delivery for Valentine’s Day.
