Peruvian Inca Trail Challenge Participants attend celebratory event at Bar George
Isle of Man News, 11 March 2010 – Participants that took part in last year’s hugely successful Inca Trail Challenge organised by The Children’s Centre, gathered at Bar George for a celebratory dinner and the unveiling of the grand total fundraised by the group.
The total amount raised was an impressive £43,360, the largest amount ever raised for the charity from a single event. Mark Eastham, Adventure Events Coordinator said, “These expeditions to foreign shores such as Peru are absolutely fantastic, not only do they offer participants a chance to take part in a trip of a life time, but also are a great way of raising much needed funds for the Charity.”
This year The Children’s Centre is undertaking two challenges, one to climb Kilimanjaro and the other to walk part of The Great Wall of China. Kilimanjaro has already filled up but spaces are still available for China. If you would like more information please contact fundraising@thechildrenscentre.org.im or call 631944.
