Moore Stephens Isle of Man is proudly supporting the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group’s “Isle of Woman” campaign to help raise funds for a dedicated Breast Care Ward at Nobles Hospital in conjunction with a health awareness campaign for Moore Stephens staff.
“As a firm we are pleased to be able to help Manx Breast Cancer Support Group,” said Clive Dixon, managing partner in Moore Stephens Isle of Man. “It’s a perfect fit, Moore Stephens is holding a series of four health awareness calendar quarters to help our staff focus on serious health issues – this first quarter is breast cancer awareness.”
In the past after having their treatment, men and women suffering with breast cancer were put on a waiting list for breast reconstruction in England, with waits often lasting several years.
Having a dedicated Breast Cancer Unit on Island will mean patients can have their treatment promptly at home with the support of their friends and family, and enables Nobles Hospital to offer a vastly enhanced the range of Breast Cancer treatments.
“I would like to thank Moore Stephens for their generous and essential support,” said Carole Male, volunteer at Manx Breast Cancer Support Group. “It is encouraging also to see Moore Stephens being proactive with the health of their staff.”
The Isle of Women campaign runs through June 2015 with a series of activities and fund-raising events.
