Staff at the Island’s leading hairdressing salon are inviting Manx residents to take part in ‘It’s A Blowout 2014’ next month and help them raise money for a local children’s charity.
The Salon 3 team have planned a pamper day on Sunday 9 February where they will offer a range of services to local residents for free, but in exchange for a donation to ‘Manx Miracles’ including blow dries, Shellac Nails, facials and head massages. In addition, a DJ will provide entertainment and participants will be able to enter a raffle with the chance to win some fantastic prizes.
The company is a long-standing supporter of the charity, which aims to raise £80,000 to build a new Sensory Play Room at the Island’s Pre-School Assessment Centre in Pulrose. The facility supports a large number of families across the Isle of Man, providing an essential support service to them.
‘It’s A Blowout’ will take place between 11am and 4pm at Salon 3’s stunning new base on Victoria Street in the heart of Douglas; Manx residents are invited to drop in without an appointment, or pre-book to secure a slot with their favourite stylist or beautician by calling 616263.
‘It’s A Blowout’ organiser and Salon 3’s Senior Stylist, Erin Bray, commented: “Children’s charities are very close to the hearts of a number of our team for personal reasons, and so we are delighted to be helping Manx Miracles raise money to build the new Sensory Play Room because it will provide such a vital lifeline for so many local children and their parents when it opens.
“Everyone is in need of a little ‘pick me up’ in the cold and miserable winter months after Christmas and so we would encourage ladies and gentlemen to come and treat themselves to a free pamper session, whilst raising essential funds for an exceptional cause. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 9 February!”
