ISLE OF MAN SAVINGS BANK ANNOUNCES NEW FIXED RATE BONDS

Isle of Man News, 14 November 2009 – Isle of Man savings specialist Bradford & Bingley International announces two new fixed rate bonds.

At 2.75% AER Fixed, Fixed Rate Bond (Issue 71) offers savers looking for a 1 year fixed term an attractive rate and the option of interest paid on maturity or monthly. This can be of great benefit to customers wishing to earn an income from their savings and starts from balances of just £5,000.

Fixed Rate Bond (Issue 72) is a two year step up bond. Again, from just £5,000 savers looking for a longer term fixed rate bond can enjoy 3.25% AER fixed in year 1 followed by a very attractive 3.75% AER fixed in year 2.

Bradford & Bingley International’s latest fixed rate bonds continue the savings bank’s regular fixed rate programme which has proved extremely popular. BBI’s Managing Director, John Pearson commented, “Fixed Rate Bonds have been in high demand this year due to the competitive rates on offer in the market in comparison to the current Bank of England Base Rate. The security offered by knowing what money will earn over the next year or two is also important for customers in the current economic climate, particularly those looking to earn an income from their savings.”

BBI are now part of Abbey and the Santander Group. Customers can be confident in Santander’s AA rating from Standard & Poor’s and that deposits with Bradford & Bingley International are covered by a full and unconditional guarantee from Abbey.

More information on the above bonds, including Terms and Conditions and an application pack, can be found on the Bradford & Bingley International website, www.bbi.co.im, or alternatively please call +44 (0) 1624 695000 (telephone calls may be recorded) to receive an application pack by post.
