ICSA Annual Dinner – guest speaker Mark Ramprakash MBE
Friday 19 September 2014
Mount Murray Hotel & Country Club, Santon, Isle of Man
Mark Ramprakash MBE is to be the after-dinner guest speaker at this year’s ICSA Annual Dinner, sponsored by RBS International, at Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club, Santon, on Friday 19 September 2014.
Mark is one of only 25 players in the history of cricket to have scored 100 first class centuries and when he retired in 2012 he had scored 114 centuries, a tremendous achievement. He was the first batsman ever to score a century against every county. Since his retirement Mark has turned to coaching; in November 2012 he was the batting coach for the England Lions in India and in January 2013 was appointed as batting coach for Middlesex on a two year contract. Also in 2013 he was awarded the MBE for his services to sport.
ICSA President Louise Young and Chief Executive Simon Osborne are to attend the dinner and they will present prizes and awards to students as part of the evening. Ron Berry has again kindly taken on the role of Master of Ceremonies.
The evening will also include a charity raffle in support of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Crossroads Caring for Carers Isle of Man.
Bill Shimmins, Island Director, RBS International: “After the successes of previous years, we are delighted to continue our involvement with the ICSA Isle of Man Annual Dinner, giving appropriate recognition to the invaluable work of Chartered Secretaries in the Isle of Man’s international success as a business centre.”
Adrian Tinkler, ICSA Isle of Man Chairman, “We are thrilled to welcome Mark Ramprakash for his first visit to the Island and grateful again to RBS International for their support, and to Appleby for sponsoring the pre-dinner Drinks Reception and to our MC Ron Berry for what promises to be a great event.”
