Tue 19th Feb 2013, 12 – 2pm – The British Empire, The British Hotel, North Quay, Douglas.
This interactive session will explore the meaning and value of Emotional Intelligence (EI) in the work place, debunking some of the myths that EI is a bit airy fairy!
Fiona Robson from Up Front Training and Coaching will use the Reuven Bar-On model to demonstrate that Emotional Intelligence is a set of skills and behaviours that can be developed in order to improve our workplace effectiveness, build relationships and increase our ability to cope with challenges. She will define EI, explain the composite parts of the model and explore how it can impact performance of individuals and teams. You will have an opportunity to ask questions about how Emotional Intelligence relates to your workplace.
Cost: £20 CIPD or CIM members/students and £25 non-members. A buffet lunch will be provided.
