Legendary Liverpool band of the 1980s, China Crisis, are to play a special Charity Gig on the Isle of Man this Christmas.

Doors Open 8pm – Local Support Act ‘US’ On Stage 8.45pm – China Crisis On Stage 9.30pm

The concert which will be followed by an After Show Disco till 1am, takes place at The Crescent on Queens Promenade in Douglas on Saturday 15th December.

Proceeds will go to ‘Wish Upon A Dream’, an Isle of Man-registered charity that grants wishes for sick and terminally ill children on the island and will go directly towards the care of 12-year-old Caitlin from Douglas who was born with a rare genetic condition.

The cause is particularly poignant as Caitlin’s mother is now seriously ill, leaving father cliff, a long-standing fan of China Crisis, to care for his wife and daughter.

The gig coincides with the China’s 30th anniversary UK tour and will be the band’s final gig of the year. China Crisis formed in 1979 in Kirkby on Merseyside, with founder members Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon. Gary and Eddie are accompanied by drummer Sian Monaghan and bass player Chris Nicholls, alongside Stuart Nisbet and Brian McNeil.

The set list for the gig will include the hits Wishful Thinking, Christian and Black Man Ray and many more.

Tickets for the Gig cost £20 and can be bought from The Villa Marina Box Office or printed out online at www.rspromotickets.co.uk
