The final total raised for Children in Need in 2013 by Barclays Wealth and Investment Management employees in the Isle of Man has topped £6,000.
All over the Island, employees held a series of special events to mark the fundraising day, and the money they brought in through sponsorship and donation was matched pound-for-pound by Barclays.
Employees made donations to dress up in ‘onesies’ for Children in Need day, there were cakes sales, a guess the name of the teddy competition, a raffle for a hamper and many more imaginative activities.
Stuart Nelson, Head of Corporate and Intermediary Banking at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in the Isle of Man said: “Once again, Barclays Wealth and Investment Management got fully into the spirit of Children in Need with lots of creative and fun events. Employees raised a sensational amount of money, and now that has been matched the final total is more than £6,000.”
“As some of the fundraising efforts were sponsored and donations continued to come in after the day itself, it has taken a little time to count up all the money, but I’m delighted Barclays Wealth and Investment Management is now able to make such a significant donation to such a great cause.”
