A&J Quality Butchers has extended its popular Christmas savings scheme so it is now available all year round to shoppers.
The move is as a direct result of demand from the business’s loyal customers who have taken advantage of the scheme since it was launched in 2009 at its shop on Cushag Road in Anagh Coar. Stamps can be bought in multiples of £5 throughout the year and added to a savings card; these can be redeemed against Christmas meat purchases. Now, customers can add stamps to their savings card and redeem this against purchases throughout the year, in addition to December.
The savings scheme is an excellent way of helping families to manage their household budgets so that food shopping does not come as such a large added expense at Christmas; however, extending this scheme means they will now be able to plan their budgets better all year round and save for other occasions such as parties and family events.
A&J Quality Butchers Ltd is a one-stop traditional butcher’s shop, supplying quality 28-day aged meat, the origins of which are always known, at below supermarket prices. It also provides ‘weekly boxes’ for families which contain a wide selection of meats and cuts, as well as other products including sausages and bacon; these are also an excellent and cost-effective way of managing weekly food shopping budgets, and adding variety into a household diet.
A&J Quality Butchers also has a dedicated Trade Warehouse on the Middle River Industrial Estate in Douglas, from where it supplies the catering needs of many of the Island’s hotels, restaurants and bars.
John O’Connell, Director of A&J Quality Butchers, commented: ”Since we introduced the Christmas savings scheme in 2009, it has been really popular with customers who’ve set aside money to buy stamps every month or when they have some spare money left over at the end of the month; it’s really helped their money go further at Christmas.
“Making this scheme available to shoppers all year round is something they’ve been asking us to do for a while and I expect it to be really popular, not least because of the price-conscious times we live in but also because of the resurgence in popularity of the traditional butcher’s shop since news of the recent horsemeat scandal became public. Shoppers expect excellent value meat at excellent prices, and that is what we provide.”
A&J Quality Butchers also sells other products such as a range of meat pies, marinades, sauces and fresh vegetables from its shop on Cushag Road in Anagh Coar, as well as BBQ boxes and other meat packs.
